Regular Meeting
Present: T. Broekhuizen, L. Passarell and B. Sorochty
Excused: K. Bedard and N. Smith
Guest: Code Enforcement Officer R. Vendetti
Meeting called to order at 7:02 pm by Chairman Sorochty
Motion made by B. Sorochty, 2nd by L. Passarell to accept the November 4, 2008 minutes with the following addition (B. Sorochty special use permits and variances). Passed unanimously.
Chairman Sorochty informed the PB that the village had not received the 3rd engineering proposal for the comprehensive plan.
Code enforcement officer Vendetti presented his proposed zoning change for 1st floor apartments in the downtown area. Code enforcement officer Vendetti recommended the creation of a D-1 Downtown District consisting of the Public Square and Numbers 1 thru 12 Thomas Street. No first floor (street level) apartments allowed in this area.
The PB recommended the following addition to item 2 which reads -Bare-bulb signs shall not be permitted, should include - neon signs no larger than two (2) square feet in area are allowed.
